What We Can Learn from the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction

Let’s talk about Saturn and Neptune, and the important role they play between now and 2028.
Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries is giving vagabond energy.
Now both in Aries, these two heavyweights will spend several months in 2025 offering a preview of a deeper energetic cycle that unfolds more fully in 2026. This year, they’ll hover between 0–2°, coming close to an exact conjunction (but not quite). Still, their proximity is striking on both individual and collective levels.
Where Saturn wants to build, sustain, and plan pragmatically, Neptune wants to dissolve, dream, and transcend structure altogether. They seem like an awkward pair at first glance. But their interplay symbolizes that we are in an era of endings and beginnings.
In Aries, we will be witnessing both the dissolution of the old sense of self, of “I”, and trying to connect to a version of ourselves that isn’t tied to external markers.
Neptune’s Role & How You Might Feel It
Look around your life: Are certain aspects dissolving before your eyes, no matter how hard you try to hold on?
That’s Neptune at work. Its influence can feel like fog, erosion, or detachment. This is particularly pronounced in the Aries house(s) of your natal chart. There is a spiritual journey that follows here. When we have the courage to let the old notions of self retire, truer and more inspired ideals can emerge. But we first must manage the ego, or the parts of us that long to stay safe and in the known spaces.

At the same time, Saturn might be showing you where it’s time to take responsibility for shaping something new. As one version of your life dissolves, another quietly asks to be built. This can lead to hyper-focus, pressure, or an overbearing sense of responsibility. In a sign like Aries, which wants to move quickly and decisively, the natural “slow-but-steady-wins-the-race” energy of Saturn could be misinterpreted as failure or stagnation.
We may need to start something, fail, and start again under this energy. While that can be frustrating, it’s important not to internalize that process as anything other than a learning curve. It is not a reflection of total ability, but of the adaptation process.

This quote speaks to the disorientation and unraveling that the conjunction may bring. As Saturn tries to hold form and Neptune pulls things beyond definition, we may find ourselves unsure of what still fits, or who we even are within the changes afoot. Neptune teaches surrender, one of the hardest spiritual lessons; letting go of something is the initiation point, required of each of us to reach the version of self we long to be.
These configurations are always at-play but 2025-2028 bring a culmination to the energy, meaning we’re all in this together. They can and do change.

While Neptune and Saturn will get very close to a conjunction in 2025, it is exact on February 20, 2026 at 0°Aries, the very first degree point of the zodiac. Truly a point of no return and new beginnings.
